Picture of the Week #97 "Girl in Station" Shanghai, China 1980 Signed and StampedThis is one of my favorite images from my scouting trip to China when I was working on the ill fated movie "Footprints of the Pheasant in the Snow". This image then became a painting and then became the poster for an exhibition of my work from China a year later. I gave a poster to Bernardo Bertolucci as he was leaving to make his incredible film "The Last Emperor". He left me a voice mail message saying that he hoped his film came out as good as my painting and thanked me for giving it to him. The rest was history.
