I couldn't resist photoshopping the Frog ride into the Hippo filled river in the Masai Mara. I've put together a series of children's rides and wild animals a couple of years ago but never did anything with them. Then today, which is the big debate between Hillary & Douchebag and everyone running around on edge, I thought this might lighten the day. My photographic work has no one vision. I record what I see in life and sometimes my images are straight forward and sometimes they are manipulated like today's. In essence they are still what I am seeing. N'est pas?

On our honeymoon Safari we encountered the Elephant handlers bathing their rides in the river. Africa and our safari were perhaps one of the greatest trips we've ever taken. We long to return. Obviously a lot has happened in the world and some places just aren't safe to travel to anymore. It is such a shame. But as I tell my lovely wife Ann, it's not every day that something dreadful happens. I'd go back in a heartbeat only I'm not in the same condition I was and wonder if I can even handle long plane rides anymore. At least I have my memories and the pictures to go with them.

Even though I prefer color, I turned this image Black & White because I felt it added to the drama of the setting. Somehow these type of pictures always grab my attention. Maybe because they are graphic, or humorous, or dramatic. This was taken during a trip to Spain before I met my beautiful wife Ann. One day I will bring her to see the some of the majesty of Spain and the Prado as well as the other incredible museums. I know not to take her to the bull fights as she is an animal lover. Bull fights were something I did back in the 80's.

How could I not grab this shot of the Dinosaur skeleton looking like it is going to attack the man sitting quietly underneath. We were in Vienna seeing the sights when this tableau struck me as funny and I quickly recorded the image. This will definitely be in my "Pictures That make You Smile" portfolio.
