Picture of the Week #418 "Color Co-Ordinated" Los Angeles, California 2016 Signed & Stamped

While I was attending an art show downtown I stumbled upon this colorfully dressed man checking the messages on his phone. I couldn't help but notice that his suit matched the colors in the paintings hanging above him. I quickly snapped one image and then walked away. I didn't think to ask if the images were his or he just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Regardless, it's still very colorful.

Picture of the Week #417 "Tangiers Mystique" Tangiers, Morocco 1986 Signed & Stamped

I have been to Morocco three times. The first was when I was on my honeymoon with my first wife  in 1965. Then in 1972 with my then live in girl friend and then when I was invited to attended a producers tour to see locations and the site of a major film studio facility that we had thought had been built.  I went with four other producers from LA. But when we got to Ouarzazate on the border of the Sahara there was no studio only a giant mile long wall with one opening. When we drove through there was the Sahara. We laughed a lot on that trip and I recorded everything on film and video. When we were back in Tangiers I took off on my own to take photos. This was one image that has always stayed with me.

Picture of the Week #416 "Red Vespa Brigade" Tuscany, Italy 2002 Signed & Stamped

I simply adore Tuscany. I have traveled all over this incredibly lovable region for years. I was always thinking of one day moving here, but for various reasons I always ended up staying in France. Now that I'm older and time is passing, plus I have a wonderful wife who shares my desire to rent a villa there for 3 months and see how we like it. We would rent out our Bel Air California home and pack up my cameras, electronics, clothes and off we would go. An adventure would begin. I think we could find a great place for a reasonable rent as the prices have come down due to the economy. We're just hoping we can do it soon, although the main reason we are here is that we have a 20 year old, three legged cat that can no longer travel with us. So when she goes we go. Stay tuned.

Picture of the Week # 415 "Speak No Evil" Paris, France 1994 Signed & Stamped

Capturing people is my favorite pastime. I have no idea what was going on with this couple but they seem intense. Their expression shows worry and with their hands covering their mouths it seems even more concentrated. Plus the forlorn look in their eyes reveals even more. Perhaps they are having marital difficulties? Perhaps some sad news has come to light? Henri Cartier Bresson would say that this was the decisive moment and I was there to capture it.
